Creating delegates for your Hosted Exchange mailbox
This article will show you how to create delegates for a Hosted Exchange mailbox. Delegates are designated users who have been granted access to a mailbox, with the ability to either send directly from, or on behalf of, that mailbox.
When a message is sent on behalf of another user it will appear to the recipient as being Sent on behalf of them. When a message is sent as another user it will appear as if it came from the user themselves.
- Log in to the Hosting Control Panel and select your Hosted Exchange subscription from the drop-down menu at the top left.
- Click on Exchange | Mailboxes and then the Display name of the mailbox you wish to create delegates for.
- Click on Permissions > Grant Permissions > Send Permissions.
- Use the drop-down menu to assign the relevant user permissions to Send As or Send On Behalf of the mailbox and then click Submit to save the changes.
