Hosted Lync Adding an Individual PIN

This article will show you how to add a PIN to your Hosted Lync account, or change your existing PIN. Individual PINs are used for two purposes:

  • For the conference call leader/presenter to join a conference as a leader when they are dialing in via phone (instead of via their computer)
  • For attendees to be admitted into a secure meeting without needing to wait in the lobby

Setting a PIN for your Lync account

  1. In your Lync desktop client, click on the Down arrow next to the gear icon in the Lync window.
  2. Select Tools and then click Dial-In Conferencing Settings.
  3. Click Sign In.


  4. Sign in with your Hosted Lync username (full email address) and password.


  5.  Click Set PIN. Enter your desired 5-24 digit PIN, and then click OK to save your changes.
