Changing VPS Hostname

This article will outline the procedure for changing the hostname on your VPS. This is useful if you want to set up DNS records for your VPS.

  1. Log in to the Hosting Control Panel and select your VPS subscription from the Subscription drop-down menu.

  2. Select the VPS Management tab, then click on the Change hostname at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Choose whether you want to use your Domain Name (Set domain name as hostname for VPS) or a sub-domain (Set VPS hostname in domain), then click Next.

  4. Select the domain you want to use and enter a sub-domain if applicable, and then click Next.

  5. Select the relevant IP Address (if you have multiple). Choose whether to create a PTR record, and whether to keep old records, then click Next.

  6. Review your changes, and then click Finish.
