Changing a Hosted Exchange mailbox password

This article will show you how to change the password for one of your Hosted Exchange mailboxes.

Hosted Exchange mailbox passwords can be changed by an account administrator or by the user themselves using the Hosting Control Panel.

Changing password as an administrator

If you are an account administrator and are trying to reset the password for a user please follow these steps.

  1. Login to the Hosting Control Panel with your account administrator credentials and select the Hosted Exchange subscription from the drop-down box at the top right.
     
  2. Click on the Exchange tab and then the Display name of the user.


     

  3. Click the Change Password button.


     

  4. Enter the new password in the fields provided. If you want a randomly generated password, you can click Generate new password. Click Submit.


     

Changing password as the service user

If you are a mailbox user and trying to change your own password please follow these steps.

  1. Log in to the Hosting Control Panel with your full email address (e.g. john.citizen@exchange-demo.net.au) and password.
     
  2. Click on User Account and then Login.


     

  3. Click the Change Password button.


     

  4. Enter the new password in the fields provided. If you want a randomly generated password you can click Generate new password. Click Submit.
