This article will show you how to manually upgrade the firmware for Budii Lite or Budii.
Budii or Budii Lite should automatically update to the latest firmware, however if it's switched off for an extended period of time, it may have missed an automatic update. If this is the case, you can upgrade the firmware manually using these instructions.
Select one of the links below to jump to a query:
Note: If you don't have internet access at your location, you may need to go elsewhere to download the firmware file onto a USB flash drive, CD or another form of portable file storage. You can use this to get the firmware file onto your computer or device that's connected to your modem.
Note: Do not attempt to download firmware using the Freezone link shown on-screen as it may not work. Download the firmware here.
IMPORTANT: Do not turn your Budii Lite/Budii off during the firmware upgrade.
Once the firmware upgrade is complete, your Budii Lite/Budii will reboot and your web browser should return to the 10.1.1.1 login page.
If a firmware upgrade goes 'bad', Budii/Budii Lite may go into Recovery Mode and be somewhat unresponsive. If this is the case, please follow the instructions in Recovery Mode for iiNet modems.
