Manually selecting a Network Carrier for Mobile Voice

This article will teach you how to manually select the network (carrier) for an iiNet Mobile Voice service on an iPhone or a handset that uses Android OS.

If you use a different mobile handset, please check the manufacturer's website for support information.

Manually selecting a network on an iPhone

  1. Tap the Settings icon.


     

  2. Select Carrier.
    .

     
  3. Turn off the Automatic slider switch, and then wait while your iPhone searches for all available mobile networks in the area.


     

  4. Tap on an iiNet or Optus carrier option (either will work) to select it as your network carrier. Exit the menu to finish.

 

Manually selecting a network on an Android OS handset

IMPORTANT: The appearance of Android OS can vary greatly per device and software version. If  this advice doesn't work for you, please check the handset manufacturer's website for support information.

  1. Open the Settings menu.


     

  2. Tap More networks (this may say “More Settings” on older models).


     

  3. Select Mobile Networks.


     

  4. Tap Network operators and then wait while your handset searches for all available mobile networks in the area.


     

  5. Tap on an iiNet or Optus carrier option (either will work) to select it as your network carrier. Exit the menu to finish.
