Netphone (VoIP) Stuttered Dial Tone explained

This article will teach you what to do when you hear an unusual dial tone on your Netphone (VoIP) service.

  • When you lift the handset to make a call, you hear a stuttered tone instead of a regular dial tone.

  1. The stuttered tone indicates that you have a new voice mail waiting.
  2. You can clear the stuttered tone by dialling *99 on your handset.
  3. Alternatively, you can clear the stutter tone by listening to your voice mail. See the advice in Netphone (VoIP) Features for more information on how to do this.
