Programming the iiNet TV with Fetch Remote

This article will show you how to program the remote for your Generation 2 iiNet TV with Fetch using Universal Codes. The remote does not need any additional programming if you only want to use it for your iiNet TV service.

If you have a Generation 3 remote with a Mini or Mighty set top box, simply open the set top box menu and select Manage > Setting > Remote Control > Remote set up and then follow the instructions on-screen.

By using the Universal Codes for your TV and/or DVD player, it’s possible to use your iiNet TV remote to control your TV and/or DVD player as well.
 

  1. Find the right Universal Code from the lists below. There may be more than one code listed for a particular brand – if this is the case, you’ll need to try each one until it works.
     
  2. According to which type of Universal Codes you are entering, press the TV or DVD button .
     
  3. Hold down the ? (RC Setup) button for at least 3 seconds until a Remote Help screen shows up on your TV.
     
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen to enter remote Setup mode - the Help screen will offer the different instructions required for the different versions of the remote.
     
  5. If you choose to do a direct setup, you'll need to use the keypad on your remote to enter the 4-digit Universal Code.
     
  6. After you’ve entered a valid Universal Code, try to turn off your TV or DVD player using your iiNet with Fetch TV remote. If it doesn’t work, please try again from step 2 (try other codes listed for the brand if possible).
     
  7. From now on, you’ll need to use the TV, DVD and STB (set top box) buttons to switch between control modes for your remote (e.g. press TV button to start using remote for TV).

 

  1. Find the right Universal Code from the lists below. There may be more than one code listed for a particular brand – if this is the case, you’ll need to try each one until it works.
     
  2. Hold down the ? button for three seconds. The TV button with flash twice and the STB button will flash once.
     
  3. Use the buttons on your remote to enter your 4-digit Universal Code. If the code is valid, the TV button will flash twice. If the TV button only flashes once, the code is not valid. Please try again from step 2 (try other codes listed for the brand if possible).
     
  4. After you’ve entered a valid Universal Code, try to turn off your TV or DVD player using your iiNet with Fetch TV remote. If it doesn’t work, please try again from step 2 (try other codes listed for the brand if possible).
     
  5. From now on, you’ll need to use the AV button to switch between control modes for your remote (e.g. switch between controlling the TV or STB).
