Retrieving Your Details from Your Domain Name Registrar

This article will show you how to access your domain password and ensure your contact details are up to date for various domain registrars. You need to do this before transferring your domain to iiNet from your current provider.

Please note: These instructions may become out of date if the Registrars update their user interfaces.

  1. Sign in on the GoDaddy website.
  2. In the My Products section, click "Domains".
  3. Use the checkbox(es) to select the domain name(s) you want to modify.
  4. Above your list of domains, click "Locking".
  5. To unlock the domain, clear the Lock domains checkbox.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click OK again.
  1. In the My Products section, click "Domains".
  2. Click the domain for which you want to retrieve the authorization code.
  3. In the Authorization Code field, click the "Send by Email" hyperlink.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click OK again.
     
  1. Log in to the Enom Account Manager.
  2. From the domains menu, select my domains.
  3. Click on the domain name to access the Domain Control Panel.
  4. Click General Settings.
  5. Select Disable next to Registrar-Lock
  6. Click the save button.
     
  1. Enter your domain name in the fields "quickly manage this domain".
  2. Click "General settings".
  3. Click "Email Auth Code to Registrant".

    * The Registrar will send the code to the admin contact within minutes. However, the return email address may be either Enom or the name of your registration service provider.
     

  1. Log in to your Network Solutions Account.
  2. Click the Domains left menu tab.
  3. Click Manage Domain Names.
  4. Click the domain name that you want to manage.
  5. In the Domain Protect row, click "Turn Off and Request Authorization".
  6. Click the Off radio button.
  7. Click Save.
     
  1. Sign in at the Yahoo website.
  2. Click "Manage My Services".
  3. Select the "Domain Control Panel" link that corresponds to the domain whose record you wish to edit.
  4. To unlock your domain, click "Edit Domain Locking".
  5. Click the "Unlock Domain" button.
     
  1. To find your authorization code, click "View Your Authorization Code".
  2. Your domain authorization code will be displayed.
  3. To disable Private Domain Registration, click the "View/Edit Your Domain Registration" link within the Domain Control Panel.
  4. On the "Domain Registration Information" page, click the "Make Information Public" button to disable Private Domain Registration.
     
  1. In the My Products section, click "Domains".
  2. Click the domain for which you want to retrieve the authorization code.
  3. In the Authorization Code field, click the "Send by Email" hyperlink.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click OK again.
     
  1. Log into your Name.com account.
  2. Click on the 'Account' icon at the top of your screen.
  3. At your 'Account' page, click directly on the domain name you wish to unlock.
  4. On the 'Domain Management' screen, click the padlock icon. When the lock is open the domain is unlocked. When a domain is unlocked, you are free to manage the domain.
     
  1. Click on the 'Account' icon at the top of your page.
  2. At your 'Account' page, click on the domain name you need the authorization code for.
  3. At your 'Domain Management' screen you will see a list of information pertaining to this domain. Near the bottom of the grid of information you will see 'Auth Code'. This is the authorization code for that domain.
     

TPP Wholesale is a wholesale provider. You'll need to get in contact with the reseller that are using TPP Wholesale as their TLD provider.

  1. Log in to your Melbourne IT MyAccount, and entering your username and password. The MyAccount Console will be displayed.
  2. The MyAccount Console will be displayed.
  3. Click Manage Domain Names under the Manage Domain Names section of the Console.
  4. The Manage Domain Names page will be displayed with the list of domain names under your MyAccount.
    Tip: Click a column heading to sort your domain name list accordingly.
  5. Click the domain name you want to unlock.
  6. The Domain Management page for the selected domain name will be displayed.
  7. Click Unlock in the Overview section and follow the on-screen prompts.
     
  1. Log in to your Melbourne IT MyAccount, and entering your username and password. The MyAccount Console will be displayed.
  2. Click Manage Domain Names under the 'Manage Domain Names' section of the Console.
  3. The Manage Domain Names page will be displayed with the list of domain names under your MyAccount.
  4. Click the 'domain name' you wish to retrieve the Authorisation Code for. The Domain Management page will be displayed.
  5. Towards the left of the console under 'Overview' click Recover Domain Password.
  6. A confirmation message will be displayed above indicating that your Authorisation Code will be sent to your Administrative email within the next 72 hours.
     
  1. Log in to your Melbourne IT MyAccount, and entering your username and password. The MyAccount Console will be displayed.
  2. Click Manage Domain Names under the Manage Domain Names section of the Console. The Manage Domain Names page will be displayed with the list of domain names under your MyAccount.Hint: Click a column heading to sort your domain name list accordingly.
  3. Click the domain name you want to modify the contact details for the Domain Management page for the selected domain name will be displayed.
  4. Click Change Contact Details in the Contact Details section and enter the new details for your domain name.
  5. Click Continue when finished.
  6. A confirmation message will appear.
     
  1. Log in to your Account console.
  2. Locate Administer/Upgrade domain along the left hand side of the page.
  3. Search for or select the domain for which the Auth code is required.
  4. Click [Administer] to load the domain level console.
  5. Click Domain Name.
  6. In the section Lock Your Domain click Lock or Unlock the domain as required.
     
  1. Log in to your Account console.
  2. Locate Administer/Upgrade domain along the left hand side of the page.
  3. Search for or select the domain.
  4. Click [Administer].
  5. Click Domain Name.
  6. The auth code will be displayed beneath the heading EPP Password Information.
  7. If you have a .au domain, you will need to click on View, located next to Current domain password (Auth-Info) in order to see your auth code.
     
  1. Log in to your Account console.
  2. Locate Administer/Upgrade domain along the left hand side of the page.
  3. Search for or select the domain for which you wish to change the contact details for.
  4. Click [Administer].
  5. Click Domain Name.
  6. In the Contact Information section, click Modify corresponding to the contact information to be updated: Registrant contact – primary registrant and domain owner. Admin contact – general administrative contact. Tech contact – general technical contact. Billing contact – Not generally used.
  7. Make the required changes to the contact, then click [Update].
