Setting up a Hosted Exchange mailbox in Mail for Mac OSX

This article will show you how to configure your Hosted Exchange mailbox in Mail for Mac OS X.

Please note: You must have an Exchange 2 mailbox in order to configure an Exchange account in Mail for Mac OS X. Please refer to the relevant guides to configure Mac Mail to connect to your Exchange 1 mailbox using POP or IMAP.
 

  1. Open Mail for Mac OS X.
     
  2. Click on the Mail menu in the top-left corner of your screen and select Preferences...


     
  3. Click on the Accounts tab and then click the plus (+) symbol in the bottom-left corner.


     

  4. Enter your Full Name, Email Address and Password and then click Continue. Mail will attempt to automatically discover your email settings.


     

  5. Select if you wish to set up Contacts and Calendars and then click Create.


     

  6. You can now close the Preferences pane and begin using your mailbox.
